I bought this saw because it was recommended as the better saw in many Youtube videos. It took a bit of getting used to because with this type of saw you have to saw with a pulling motion. And yes, that went wrong the first time, so I touched a piece of steel from my work colleague and had to smooth out some damaged teeth of the saw with pliers because of that.

But you quickly get used to these kinds of saws. And when you do, you find that you have much more control than with the traditional western saws. These saws work with pulling movements. That's how you pull the saw straight. So your cut is super straight. The saws are also thinner than you are used to. So you have to remove less wood. So you cut faster.

In short, if you want/need to saw by hand: This is the better solution. (Translated from Dutch)
