This traditionally made Dozuki from Gyokucho features a back reinforcement for added control when sawing. Use this Japanese saw for tight wood joints and fine sawing.
The saw blade has a fine toothing of 17 TPI and makes cuts of only 0.51 mm. It provides clean cuts without reworking. The saw blade is replaceable.
A striking feature of this Dozuki is the round tip of the saw blade. This makes it possible to make saw cuts (slits) in the middle of a board or other piece of wood. This is not possible with other saws.
Ideally suited for furniture makers, instrument makers, model makers, frame builders and other woodworkers seeking fine sawing results.
The wooden handle is traditionally wrapped with rattan and the saw blade is easily replaceable.
The teeth of this Japanese saw are hardened to a surface hardness of 68 to 71 HRC. This makes the teeth hard and resistant on the outside. This is important for the characteristic high-quality cutting properties.
