A traditional Kataba fine saw with a 225 mm saw blade and fine toothing of 21 TPI (teeth per inch). Very suitable for cut-off and mitre work and for general fine sawing. This fine Kataba achieves its best performance as a laminate, skirting or picture frame saw. But this traditional Japanese saw can also appeal as a hobby and fine saw. Especially for furniture making and fine woodwork, this Kataba is appreciated for its smooth and clean sawing result.
The hardened saw blades have induction hardened and polished, three-sided ground teeth from 68 to 71 HRC. This guarantees a very long service life.
Standard equipped with a traditional wooden handle with bamboo. Also available with comfortable handle made of non-slip plastic, or with short power handle (same material) for extra pulling power.
Comes with a plastic teethguard.

I have recently started using the Kataba 225 to make wood joints. The saw saws very safely and easily. I also like the way the sawn surface looks after sawing; very smooth and flat. (Translated from Dutch)
